Passerina is an indigenous variety of white wine found in the regions of Abruzzo, Marche, Umbria and Lazio. On the nose, one finds hints of white flowers and ethereal aromas. The palate is dominated by white fruits with an intense and spicy flavour. The best wines from the Grillo grape come from the western part of Sicily, including the grapes for Lunaria MBETTATA. The yeasts for this Chardonnay are specially selected in a complex process in the Maiella National Park. Each grape variety is given its own suitable yeast strain.
