Erbaluna / Piemont

The most famous Piedmontese red wine is the "Barolo". Depending on your taste, he is perhaps the best Italian red wine at all. Barolo is pressed from the grape nebbiolo. Only after two years of barrel aging and subsequent maturation in the bottle of Barolo goes on sale, but then needs a few more years to come to fruition. A Barolo has a legal minimum alcohol content of 13% and is easily storable for 15 years. Such a wine, according to old Piedmontese tradition, make Severino and Andrea Oberto. Overall, the Obertos manage approximately 6 hectares of vineyards, with the "Barolo" only the best locations in the Nebbiolo harvested, located in the immediate vicinity of the court in south-east slopes. Besides Barbera and Dolcetto Nebbiolo still grown on ERBALUNA. Since 1995, Severino and Andrea have decided to work with a young winemaker. The result are wines that are ready to drink earlier and less tannic.
