Very typical of northern Italy : powerful and spicy with delicate acidity and
much play . Cherry and dark berries on the palate, the finish clear red
Currant , some marzipan , the long barrel storage integrated almost completely .
Much extract without heaviness .
Straw Dried grapes make this 'Holy Wine' so wonderfully creamy and sweet and very aromatic. Long, extremely oxidative aging in used barrels are very spicy notes, which contrast the powerful sweetness.
Highly complex single-layer Barolo with all the attributes of a great Barolo: Tar and berry flavors with solid but velvety tannins. Everything is there for a long wine life.
