Can Vendrell, the vineyard and the brothers Josep Antoni ALBET i Noya is located in the heart of the DO Penedès, a renowned wine region between Barcelona and Tarragona, on Spain's Mediterranean coast. The estate is run by the family since 1903. While previous generations had lease agreements with the Großgrundbeitzer for the lands, the brothers ventured in Twenalter 25 years ago to jump into the cold water. They bought not only the vineyards, they built soon on its own winery in 1980 and made their vineyards to organic farming to. thus were they are the first winery in Spain, which is known to organic viticulture.
