Microcosmo is a wine with a slender and dynamic body and a complex and multi-faceted personality. Its color, which is often duller than that of many Sicilian reds, shines in a beautiful ruby red that reveals a violet hint as it ages in the bottle. The nose offers exotic and very spicy aromas reminiscent of an oriental bazaar: cinnamon, ginger, frankincense, star anise and then dried fruit, baked black olives, salted capers. In mouth it is tannic, dry, persistent, enriched by a lively acidity, especially in the cooler years.
